Mahindra Thar Roxx Launched in India: Variants, Features, and Pricing Leaked—Booking Details Inside!

Mahindra has officially introduced the highly anticipated Thar Roxx, the 5-door version of its popular Thar SUV. The Thar Roxx RWD (Rear-Wheel Drive) will be available in six variants: MX1, MX3, AX3L, MX5, AX5L, and AX7L. While the prices for the base petrol and diesel variants were announced during the launch, the prices for the remaining RWD variants have recently been leaked online.

Thar Roxx RWD Variants and Features

The leaked document reveals that the Thar Roxx RWD lineup includes the following variants:

  • MX1: This base variant is well-equipped with features such as LED projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, 18-inch steel wheels, a touchscreen infotainment system, rear AC vents, and a USB charging port.

  • MX3: This variant enhances convenience with a dual-tone metal top, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, auto-dimming IRVM, and a wireless charger. Safety features include a reverse camera, four-wheel disc brakes, hill hold assist, hill descent control, traction control, and two drive modes (Zip and Zoom) with three terrain modes (Snow, Sand, and Mud).

  • AX3L: The AX3L variant adds advanced technology, including a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Adrenox, built-in Alexa, automatic climate control, and Level 2 ADAS for enhanced safety and convenience.

  • MX5: This variant offers premium features such as a single-pane sunroof, auto headlamps with C-shaped LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, automatic wipers, 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, an acoustic windshield, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

  • AX5L: The AX5L trim includes all the features of the MX5 plus an electric parking brake with Auto Hold, front parking sensors, footwell lighting, and an electronic locking differential for improved off-road performance.

  • AX7L: The top-spec AX7L variant is packed with luxury features, including a panoramic sunroof, 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a 6-way powered driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, a cooled glovebox, a 9-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a 65W USB charger, and power-folding ORVMs. It also comes with advanced off-road capabilities like SmartCrawl 4×4, Intelliturn 4×4, brake locking differential, and a 360-degree camera with blind view monitor and Level 2 ADAS.

Thar Roxx Launch and Booking Details

Mahindra has confirmed that bookings for the Thar Roxx will open on October 3, with deliveries expected to start during the festive season of Dussehra. Prospective buyers can take test drives beginning September 14.

The MX1 base variant, available in both petrol and diesel options, starts at ₹12.99 lakh for the Petrol MT RWD and ₹13.99 lakh for the Diesel MT RWD. It comes with essential features like LED projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, 18-inch steel wheels, electronic parking brake, push-button start/stop, a 26.03 cm touchscreen infotainment system, 60:40 split seats, and rear AC vents. Safety is ensured with Electronic Stability Control, six airbags, and 3-point seatbelts for all passengers.

The MX3 variant, priced at ₹14.99 lakh for Petrol AT and ₹15.99 lakh for Diesel MT, adds additional features like a rear armrest with cup holders, driving and terrain modes, adventure statistics, a rear parking camera, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, auto-dimming IRVM, and wireless charging. Safety features include traction control, hill hold control, hill descent control, and four disc brakes.

The MX5 variant, starting at ₹16.99 lakh, further enhances the Thar Roxx with a single-pane sunroof, 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED fog lamps, DRLs, front parking sensors, acoustic windshield, leatherette-wrapped steering wheel, and seats. It also includes automatic headlamps and wipers, TPMS, and an electronic locking differential for the 4×4 versions.

The AX3L variant, priced at ₹16.99 lakh for Diesel MT RWD, offers most of the features from the MX3, along with ADAS, an electronic parking brake with Auto Hold, DTS sound staging, a 26.03 cm HD touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, and a digital instrument cluster.

Finally, the top-tier AX7L variant, which starts at ₹19.99 lakh for Petrol AT and ₹20.49 lakh for Diesel AT, offers luxury and cutting-edge technology, including a panoramic sunroof, 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, front-ventilated seats with electric adjustment, a front camera, a cooled glovebox, a 360-degree parking camera with blind spot monitoring, obstacle view, a Harman Kardon sound system with a subwoofer, power-folding ORVMs, and a 65W USB charger. The 4×4 versions also come with advanced features like SmartCrawl and Intelliturn.
